Purpose of Job:

Execute all kitchen operations, ensuring all prepared foods meet restaurant safety and health standards.   Cooks, assembles and wraps good items, stocks all needed products and preparation materials in a clean and safe manner.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicate clearly, quickly and politely with co-workers to ensure correct order is served to the customers.
  • Quickly and accurately prepares food products following restaurant, health and safety standards and procedures quickly and accurately.
  • Be pleasant and alert to customer needs.
  • Properly and safely operates and maintains restaurant equipment including grill, fryer, freezer and other related cooking equipment while following all health and safety standards.
  • Work as a “team” member to assure constant and consistent quality, service, cleanliness and value to each customer.
  • Clean work area, organize and stock needed items.  Move various food, paper and cleaning items from other sections of building (or outside building) to immediate work area.
  • Stocks and executes proper rotation of products.
  • Completes assigned prep work for stocking and set up of grill area.
  • Controls food production process.
  • Breaks down and cleans grill area thoroughly every day as assigned by a manager or shift leader.
  • Wash counters, tables, restrooms, trash receptacles, gather trash and remove from dining/service areas to proper receptacle, sweep, mop, stock and other cleaning tasks.  Occasional need to be out of building (i.e., parking lot, freezer, trash container areas, etc.) for parking lot pick-up, trash removal and other maintenance and cleaning activities.
  • Informs immediate supervisor promptly of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by management staff or shift leaders.

Accountability:

Operates grill area in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.  Responsible for quick, accurate and safe food production process.  Assists in the success of the restaurant by ensuring guest satisfaction through adhering to standards for quality, value, service and cleanliness.  Maintains a positive working relationship with all restaurant employees and customers to foster and promote a cooperative and pleasant working climate.  Communicates all significant issues, both positive and negative, with management staff.

Purpose of Job:

Execute all customer service operations, ensuring all prepared products meet the restaurant standards of quality and excellence.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicate clearly, quickly and politely with co-workers to ensure correct order is served to the customers.
  • Be pleasant and alert to customer needs.
  • Greet guests as they enter restaurant or drive thru.
  • Initiate and complete customer transactions quickly and accurately through the drive thru.
  • Process customer transactions and maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout shift.
  • Assemble and deliver order to customers quickly and efficiently.
  • Keep entire work area clean and sanitary throughout shift. 
  • Prepare products quickly and accurately, while following all preparation, health and safety standards and guidelines when needed. 
  • Operate and maintain food/drink/treat related equipment and registers properly and safely. 
  • Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of work area. 
  • Stock and execute proper rotation of products.
  • Assist with end of day cleaning.
  • Work as a “team” member to assure constant and consistent quality, service, cleanliness and value to each customer.

Purpose of Job: 

Assemble, and present completed treat orders, including stocking, cleaning and maintaining all customer areas in a clean, safe, pleasant manner and to all restaurant safety and health code standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicate clearly, quickly and politely with co-workers to ensure correct order is served to the customers
  • Prepare treat products following restaurant, health and safety standards and procedures quickly and accurately.
  • Be pleasant and alert to customer needs.
  • Properly and safely operate and maintain restaurant equipment including related chill equipment while following all health and safety standards.
  • Work as a “team” member to assure constant and consistent quality, service, cleanliness and value to each customer.
  • Clean work area, organize and stock needed items.  Move various treat, paper and cleaning items from other sections of building (or outside building) to immediate work area.

Qualifications:

Move cases of food/paper products, buckets of sanitizing liquid or cleaner, containers of up to 50 pounds, stock ice in soft drink dispensers, use sanitizing solutions, stock all items used in customer service area. Must be able to perform under pressure in a high volume restaurant including moving and responding quickly for long periods of time.   Travel quickly in customer service area as needed throughout each shift.  Must be able to work in and out of different temperature ranges.  Handling food/drinks/treats and food/drink/treat products constantly.  Capability to stand for long periods of time.     Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.  Interact with the public and co-workers constantly during shifts.  Clean up after all kinds of messy situations.  Must be able to read order monitors.  Recall and communication of products and contents.  Practice established food handling procedures and meet any local health regulations.  Exhibit and use good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness.

Purpose of Job:

To create positive memories for all who touch DQ and OJ. To assist the General Manager (GM) and Assistant Manager(s) in executing specific aspects of the restaurant operations during scheduled shifts.   To set high standards and create a great environment for the team to work. Must be able to perform all job functions of each crew position, including customer service, product preparation, cash accountability, drive-thru and back-line food preparation. 

Essential Functions

  • Strive for operational levels that meet or exceed the DQ Fan’s expectations in the areas of quality, service and atmosphere, creating value through an excellent experience and a fair price.   
  •  Assist in the management of specific areas of the restaurant during scheduled shifts. 
  • Accurately complete designated duties such as inventory control, ordering of products and cash control.  
  • Ensure that all PRIDE systems and routines are part of the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, setting each scheduled shift up for success.
  • Ensure that Fan service meets or exceeds company standards. Handle more routine customer complaints, taking prompt and appropriate action to resolve the problem and ensure that each dissatisfied customer becomes a return Fan. Make the determination when to report to the management team on more serious complaints.
  • Understand the importance of speed of service and resolve bottlenecks in work flow.
  • Build relationships with return or preferred patrons.
  • Accomplish store objectives by assisting the GM and Assistant Manager(s) with training and coaching crew members to build a highly skilled and productive team.
  • As appropriate and when necessary, get work done through the delegation of tasks to other restaurant team members.
  • Role model and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the restaurant is properly organized and staffed as designated by written schedules created by restaurant management, through proper job assignments, break rotation and the delegation of tasks during both peak and non-peak periods.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all restaurant staff to foster and promote a cooperative and pleasant working climate, which will be conducive to maximizing employee morale, productivity and efficiency.
  • ServSafe® certified or approved equivalent.
  • Ensure that proper hand washing, product rotation procedures, and temperature logging are visible and active behaviors. Role model and enforce safe food handling practices.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, complying with health and legal regulations and maintaining security systems or routines.
  • Understand how to react in the event of an emergency such as a workers compensation accident, a robbery, etc.
  • May contribute to the execution of the restaurant’s business plan through specific job assignments and projects as determined by the restaurant management team.
  •  Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the management team.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 6+ months of high volume quick service restaurant experience required 
  • High School diploma or equivalent required 
  • Must be capable of supervising specific areas of the business in a fast paced environment. 
  • Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices
  • ServSafe® certified or approved equivalent
  • Ability to pass shift leadership program

Summary

5-Star Treats, Inc. is a local, family-owned franchise that operates a group of Dairy Queen restaurants in the Northeast Texas region. As a company, we are looking to create a new full-time position that will serve as a liaison between our upper management teams and the community itself.  While the scope of the position may evolve over time, the short-term list of job duties and requirements are below.

Job Duties

  • Work in conjunction with the Director of Operations to implement and execute short-term and long-term marketing strategies in the local community to help drive increased sales and customer loyalty

  • Increase DQ® brand awareness by various social media marketing strategies and content creation that follows all regulatory advertising guidelines

  • Develop meaningful relationships with members of the various Chambers of Commerce on the company’s behalf by the following: representing DQ® at regularly attended networking and social events, participating in and executing an array of marketing tools at major Chamber events, utilizing the contacts gained from the Chamber events to drive increased sales by working with the Director of Operations and the store management, etc.

  • Develop and implement a winning strategy for getting DQ® involved in the local school systems by various programs such as hosting fundraiser/spirit nights, working with local PTA’s to help build our “Tear 2 Care” program, coordinating with store management to execute large orders for teams’ pre-game/post-game meals, etc.

  • Coordinate and manage the use of our Blizzard® costume for marketing events, birthday parties, in-store events, etc.

  • Responsible for reviewing ever-changing technological strategies that will keep us up-to-date and relevant with the younger generation

  • Maintain the company website and implement strategies that help drive more people to visit it.

  • Work directly with the Director of Operations and store management teams to increase our employee retention and staff morale through various employee recognition programs

Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to work some nights and weekends as needed

  • Demonstrated expertise in various marketing strategies, social media content creation, budgeting, and project management

  • Preferably 3-5 years or more of experience in a marketing role

  • Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, creative outside-the-box thinking, and self-motivated

  • Possesses the ability to interact well with a variety of different types of people and personalities

  • Knowledgeable with various computer functions such as Microsoft Office, Adobe or Canva, etc.

  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills

  • Must be willing to relocate to the McKinney/Frisco area
